Attack of the GECKO!!!!

Hello everyone.
Robyn just had a tramatic experience leaving our apt this afternoon. She opened the door and a gecko dropped onto her shirt. Robyn screamed and cried. Here is a picture of the beast after I wrestled him out of the apartment.

Last night (Wed) we went to toguchi beach with most of the teachers and staff and prayed for the school year and the student body and God`s will in the school.

It was amazing to see God right in the center of school compared to public school where they shew God totaly out. Then people wonder why there is so many problems.
God loves us so much that he is willing to bow out and let us take our own stand in our own strength (which we realize we don`t have any). God is also ready to take us back at a moments notice, without question and without judgement. God wants our joy and wants our passion but he wants it directed at him, only then can he truly bless us.

God is much more than smelly bibles and boring services, He is the everything that makes you stop and wonder or look at in true beauty. He is relavant, He is exciting, He is fun, He is everything you thought he wasn`t. When we humans try to put a name on God we are selling ourselves short. That`s why when asked what God`s name is He said
"I am"

Can you see God with us?
I sure can.
Love all of you,
Paul and Robyn

BBQ

Robyn, Susan, Carolyn and I went to Mr. Higashimori`s (on the right in the pink shirt)house for a BBQ. Mr. Higashimori has a son that goes to OCSI. It was a lot of fun getting to meet his family. Mr. Higashimori even made us hotdogs, I guess to make us feel like we were home. We had fun talking about how people in the US use 500 gallon drums to make BBQ grills and how cowboys determine their status by the size of their belt buckle.

We are at the last day of learning Japanese and then were on our own. It is a very difficult language because you not only have to learn new words but also a new alphabet. It`s fun but hard at the same time.

One of the cultural things to do down here is to attach charms to your cell phone. Some people have 10-20 hanging from their phone.

Robyn is having fun at the vending machine each day trying new drinks (theirs ton`s of them).

School start the 24th of August so prayer would be encouraged to give us strength and direction for the beginning of the school year. First impressions are important even when they should not be.

Thank you for everyone who posts messages for us. It`s fun to hear feedback.

Until next time
The Robison-san

Okinawa

We finally arrived in Okinawa, Japan. It was a short trip, of only 29 hrs from door to door, and a fun trip. Yesterday (Friday) the administrative staff took us out to lunch for pizza, and it was good! I couldn`t believe it either. For dinner we were taken to an authentic Japanese restaurant, I had chicken katsu and Robyn had chicken yaki soba (both were good).
Robyn and I are adjusting as normal as possible. We are meeting new teachers and parents and they are all so very friendly. I must go , we are going food shopping, to the beach, and maybe snorkeling.
I love each one of you and pray for God`s will in your life.
Arigato gozimas,
Paul and Robyn

P.S. Andrew, we will be sending you pics of some neat bugs and hermit crabs in a few days.
