Push Flash

Since I've been home I've been thinking about what to blog on, since our stay in Japan is over. Well here goes.

Photo tip #1: This was a photo I took during our last trip to NY. I was an awesome time, especially going out on the Hudson on Jim's boat, named the Robins Nest. I just wanted to let you ameture photographers in on a little secret. If you have the sun directly behind you, usually you will get a photo with dark images on the people because the camera thinks there is enough light so the camera will turn the flash off. Yes there is enough light behind the people but not in front, that's why you get dark faces. Simple fix, turn it to a setting that will let you keep the flash on even in high light. Now your ready to take photos with high light in the backround. Not a bad photo for the sun being directly behind?

  1. Hey Paul, you are looking good, congratulations on your marriage, I hope all is well with you and your family. I have provided a link to pictures of my family on my Facebook account (which I have not touched in months, I find the whole thing to be kind of vain). It's mostly pictures of our son Charles (2 1/2 years) and daughter Mary (4 years 1/2). Great photo tip BTW, I'll pass it along to Judy whose face I barely ever see because there is usually a camera in front of it.

It's good to see you doing well and happy.

Kindest regards to you and your family,

    -Chris
